Overview
Increasingly, sensors and devices are provided with ability to transmit data in a form which is readily available to be pushed to cloud based storage and interfaces. Thus reducing the burden or even need of a plantwide wired network.

Single sensors or arrays of devices autonomously generate their responses and provide data in accessible registers. Network nodes collect this data and push it further to cloud based systems for storage and viewing.

Viewable via web based browser platforms and typically available on any internet enabled device.

Data processing & normalisation
The web based browser platforms allow for number of simple and complex mathematical functions to be performed, displayed and recorded. Typically, time-based averages of sensor output can be viewed by operators to judge plant status or proximity to any alarms or limits.
Audit recording
Interventions, adjustments, maintenance intervals and calibration coefficients can be easily stored and recalled to justify traceability of data.
Data reporting
Typically exported into standard desktop packages for user customisation.
